    Revelations 21:4
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

I just wanted to express my sincere condolences to the entire Johnson family. If there is anything I can do please do not hesitate to reach out. May the Lord Bless and comfort all of you and know that I am praying for you all.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY COUSIN WAYNE!
Today is your Birthday and I’m sitting here reminiscing about all of the good times that we all had with you. All of the live Family Reunions at your house….Felt more like being in a Warm Oasis! Especially your “Park Like” Backyard with the beautiful Swimming Pool, Hot Tub, Decks, Basketball Courts, Relaxing Lawn, Tropical Trees & Landscaping, Plenty of Delicious Food and Good Music (That you didn’t mind dancing to-Smiling ; ). Unforgettable Memories with you to never be forgotten! Thank you for always making everyone feel welcomed and loved too. We’ll defiantly miss hearing you say, “WHATS UP CUZ” followed by those BEAR HUGS and your Contagious Smile too! And like you always sincerely said, “ONE LOVE DOE” Cousin Wayne, we love you and you’ll truly be missed-But NEVER forgotten! Sleep in GODS PEACE! Debra, you and the rest of the family are in our prayers!
    Love Cousin Michelle and Family.

  3. I heard “As” today by Stevie Wonder and it made me think of you Dad. There is one thing that I know for sure, you loved us. So in the words of Stevie, “…I’ll be loving you always.
-As now can’t reveal the mystery of tomorrow but in passing will grow older everyday
-Just as all is born is new
-Do know what I say is true that -I’ll be loving you Always
Until the rainbow burns the stars out in the sky- Always
Until the ocean covers every mountain high- Always
Until the dolphin flies and parrots live at sea- Always
Until we dream of life and life becomes a dream.
    Love you Dad,
    Christie
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

  5. Uncle Joe Viney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

    Written by: Joseph Wayne Viney

On this 9th day of February 2019

To the entire Johnson Family there in California, we want you to know that your family here in Oklahoma is praying with you and for you. God’s plan is far greater than our own. All we can do is trust the God we serve.
Your uncle Joe wants each of you to know he is saddened to hear of losing Dewayne. Yet, in the midst of it all please know I am praying for God’s strength for us all as we lay Dewayne down to rest. He will truly be missed.

I want to encourage each of you to continue to fight the good fight and to be forever encouraged in running this race for we all have a day appointed by our maker. God Loves us all and with the help of the Lord, we will keep running this race with faith and trust in God on this journey called life. I Loved every opportunity we had to come to California and embrace one another at family reunions, Homegoings, and gatherings. Those memories will last a lifetime for me.

Although we are miles apart we are forever connected through the Viney bloodline. We are birthed to be connected and to support one another. Therefore, we must continue to pray for one another and encourage one another on this journey. We are our brother’s keeper, even miles apart we must do what we can when we can for one another. Even though I cannot make it due to unforeseen circumstances. However, I want you to know as usually I would have been there and would have Loved to see each of you as we celebrate Dewayne’s homegoing.

Many of the family have gone on to see the king. However, God has chosen each of us to still be here so that we can fulfill our purpose here on earth. I want to personally encourage each of you to know that no matter what you are going through you must continue to pray and walk by faith. We can all make it with the help of the Lord.

My father the Reverend Fred Viney and my mother Arbella would be proud of this family. Proud that we have grown and spread our wings while branching out all over the world. They preached and taught family and God’s word to many. I encourage us all to continue to carry the torch.

    Continual Prayers,
    Uncle Joseph Wayne Viney
    Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
