Richard Estrada's Obituary
Richard Estrada was born October 30, 1951 in Sacramento, California. He passed away peacefully on January 17, 2016 at the age of 64. Richard was very fortunate and blessed to have the love of the Lueras siblings. He is survived by the Lueras family: Patrick (Madelyn), Sylvia, Andrew (Karleen), Larry (Dee), Monica, Loretta (John), Pauline (Robert), Mike (Betty) and Christina (Frank). He was cared for by his sister Dolores “Lola” Lueras, and eventually Monica Lueras who provided unconditional love and care for him. He eventually went on to live in Auburn and was cared for by Westwood Care Home.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother Antanacia Avalos Estrada, his father Manuel Estrada, his sister Lola Lueras, brothers Eddie, Robert, Butch and David. Survived by sisters Rachel, Angie, Ampara and Val; brothers Carlos, Rufino and Manuel.
Richard was the “Master of Puzzle Making”. He loved being in the mix of parties, loved to dance and give hugs to everyone. He enjoyed school at Orange Grove. Special thanks to Westwood Staff for caring for him and making him feel at home. It brings comfort knowing Richar will be reunited with his loved ones.
Rosary will be on Thursday, January 28th at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 29th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 1717 El Monte Avenue, followed by graveside services at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
