R B Snelson's Obituary
R B was born Feb. 28, 1925 in Byars, Oklahoma. A long-time resident of Rio Linda, he passed away Aug. 26, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Rita, his sons Stephen (Marla) and Rick (Audra), his sister Sue Carlson (Rick), 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
R B was a World War II Navy veteran and a life member of V.F.W. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles. A longtime member of the I.L.W.U., he retired after 16 years as dispatcher for Local 17. In 2011 he was inducted into the Western Swing Hall of Fame.
Special thanks to our niece and nephew, Dee Dee and Bill Huckabay who helped care for R B the last eight months of his life.
R B can be honored best with a donation to Alzheimers Association.
Viewing will be Sept. 2nd 3-7 pm. Memorial services will be Sept. 3rd 10:00 am at Sunset Lawn, 4701 Marysville Blvd., 95838
