Craig
To the family and friends of R-only B-only Snelson, my memories of RB go back to the mid 70s. To the dispatch office in west Sac.I would try to get there b/4 RB would open the doors so he got to see my face as much as possible, and I would sit at the back of the hall directly under the big clock, waiting for him to open his office door and say with his commanding voice "Now who really wants to go to work???" Most times it meant Oakland Bean Co in Knights Landing… I never turned down a job offer, and worked (temporarily) at many of the houses b/4 gaining seniority at Eng Skell co. When they (ESCO) went down in '89, I went to RGA in Woodland and had ten more years with the ILWU b/4 changing trades… Through RBs help, I was able to scratch out a meager life for myself and family and purchase a house which I can call now home… A fine gentleman and great conversationalist, RB will surely be missed by all who knew him… "Thanks for the dispatches RB… Thanks for everything…" Your friend, Craig Bruce………….
