I love you Daddy. It has been four days since Friday and your absence is profound and weighs on us heavily. The days are getting shorter and shorter and dusks are especially difficult. I've been sleeping with Mom. We took her for a pedicure the other day. We'll make sure she's okay. Your grandkids miss you. Dad, I feel like you have a unique friendship with each one of us. I feel you drove slow because the world is sometimes too fast. Also, we drove around to talk. I wish I wasn't too concerned about the tomato trucks whizzing by. I wish I hugged you more. I wish I saved your voice mail messages. But I know we had a good time, each one of us. We laughed so much. I've no regrets. Thank you for a wonderful childhood that I feel ended just four days ago. I'll be seeing you.
