Kimberly Renee Gullion's Obituary
Kimberly R. Gullion passed away on February 17, 2017 at home in Rio Linda after a three year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Kim was born December 16, 1982 in Fremont, CA. She was a 2001 graduate of Irvington High School and graduated from Sonoma State University in 2011 with a BA in Human Development. Kim worked with
at-risk youth and developmentally disabled students.
Kim enjoyed her cats and Sheltie dog, Sutter. She liked Volkswagen cars and was an enthusiastic fan of the Oakland Athletics. She had a large on-line circle of friends and was very active in support groups for Stage-4 Metastatic Breast Cancer patients.
Kim was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Hayes Gullion and is survived by her father Kenneth Gullion of Placerville, her sister Kathryn Gullion of Diamond Springs, CA, and her fiancé Alex Angier of Rio Linda. She is also survived by her aunt and uncle, Jackey Gullion Hayes and Thomas Hayes of Carlsbad, CA and her cousin Kevin Hayes of Minneapolis, MN.
Her family will conduct private family services. At a future date, a Celebration of Kim’s Life will be announced for her friends and Metastatic Breast Cancer community. Donations can be made to METAvivor.org in her name.
