Kim was my friend. Unforgettable.
Kim was always such a kind and beautiful spirit. We knew each other from work but kept in touch online. She had a way of making everyone around her feel special and cared for. I imagine her mother meeting her as she crossed over and Kim continuing to spread her kindness and happiness everywhere her spirit goes. Sending you love, Kim. Sending Peace to Alex and her family.
Kim was my CI many years ago, but I didn't know that when we met on Facebook. Kim gave me courage by being courageous. I had recently had a bad bike accident with broken shoulder and then a knee injury from work. I was really feeling sorry for myself, but Kim's bright smile, enthusiasm, faith and hope punched right through me, reviving my own will to get over life's humps. She was the exemplification of all that is 'vim and vinegar'. Never got 'down' nor felt sorry for herself. She spent every minute connecting with folks, encouraging, connecting people and taught me how to have 'feelings' of empathy and sympathy that I had 'stuffed away' somewhere. I told many people about Kim and have said many prayers for her in prayer groups and on my own. I owe Kim for my Princesa Sofie (sheltie) because if Kim hadn't gotten Sutter, I wouldn't have had the courage to go get another sheltie puppy after mine died. God has set a new star in the sky to burn brightly for all of us! Just look up any night and she is sparkling pure, clear and bright! Fly free, little Kim, fly free forever!
Kim was my younger cousin….that I was never able to meet in person since we are on opposite sides of the country. I never even knew about her until about 7 years ago. We became Facebook friends and used to speak often. She amazed me with how positive and forthcoming she always was. This past summer, I took a trip out west to Reno, Nevada to visit my brother and decided to meet up with Kim. Due to circumstances with her medications, as well as an unexpected last minute change of location plans from my end, we were never able to meet up. However, at one point, I was literally 15 minutes away from her but it was on a day where she was not prepared for visitors, so unfortunately, we couldn't connect. I was so disappointed, mostly because I knew I would never have another opportunity to meet her in the flesh. I am so saddened to hear of this, especially less than a month after some good news from her scans. This is all very sad, but I am so thankful that she had so many strong supporters, and a fiance whom adored her. She will be greatly missed. Fly high, Kim. Love, Amanda Hayes

Our thoughts are with Ken, Kate, Alex and all of Kim's family and friends.
To a beautiful soul that I never met but still cared for just like the family member that she was. The light on this earth got a little dimmer with your passing. Your family, Alex and your pets will miss you terribly. I will celebrate your freedom now and your reconnection with your mom. Fly high and keep on soaring. Larry and Loren Seale
When God saw you getting tiredAnd a cure was not to beHe put his arms around youAnd whispered come to meHe didn't like what you went throughAnd he gave you restHis garden must be beautifulHe only takes the bestAnd when we saw you sleepingSo peaceful and free from painWe wouldn't wish you backTo suffer that againToday we say goodbyeAnd as you take your final restThat garden must be beautifulBecause you are one of the best.
I will greatly miss chatting with my online friend , Kim, on Facebook. We shared the love of cardmaking, cats and Sutter dog. I will never forget her beautiful face and smile. Her unquenchable spirit and fight never faltered. RIP Kim and one day I hope we meet!Gail Wenzel
