I am deeply saddened by the news of Jack's passing. Susie and I go way back to when we were in kindergarten together. I met Jack my freshman year in high school. At that time Jack and Susie didnt know each other, but I had the pleasure of having their friendship from 2 different parts of my life. The things I remember about Jack is his kind demeanor and the fact that we both failed science our freshman year. But on graduation day, I remember his walking across the stage wearing flip flops. I don't remember what dress I wore under my gown, but I remember Jack flip flopping across the stage as Mr. Rupp handed him his diploma. Just 2 days later Susie and Jack met at the graduation party that Susie and I planned in my parent's barn. A few years later I stood as maid of honor at their wedding. A day that reflected an Italian-Country blend that was Jack & Susie. And, through their union, Jack became an equal part of my memories that Susie & I shared. Because it wasn't just Jack or just Susie. It was Jack and Susie. My heart aches for Sue and her kids, grandkids, Jack's sisters, etc. I know you will carry with you the calm, kind, down to earth qualities that Jack left with you. He left behind a wonderful legacy. May God Bless and hold you close during this time.
