With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eduardo De La Cruz Sazo, who entered into rest on March 11, 2026, on his 63rd birthday.
Born in Sacramento, California, to Mariano Desierto Sazo, and Maria De Jesus Sazo, Eduardo was the youngest of ten siblings. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility that would guide him throughout his life.
For over 40 years, Eduardo worked as a mechanic. A true jack of all trades, he had an incredible talent for fixing just about anything—but his true passion was working on vehicles. He found joy not only in his craft, but in helping others, often going out of his way to lend a hand to anyone in need. His kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Beyond his work, Eduardo cherished time spent with his family. He especially loved fishing with his children and grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Eduardo always had a slick, funny comeback and could brighten any room with his laugh.
Eduardo leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever: his nine children, Angelina, Patricia, Eduardo Jr., Priscilla, Mariano II, Samuel, Elizabeth, Maria, and Sabrina; his twelve cherished grandchildren, Isabel, Mya, Gabriela, Paul, Jesenia, Eduardo III, Ava-Marie, John, Mia, Audrey, Vivian, and Valentina; and his longtime partner, Serena.
He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and the many friends whose lives he touched with his warmth, humor, and generosity.
Though he is no longer with us, Eduardo’s legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will live on in all who knew him.
