To my Uncle,
Thank you for letting us know what was happening with you. Every year you pushed through gave us more time, more memories—especially for Serena, your kids and grandkids. I know I told you while you were here, but I wanted to put it into words so it lasts. You were the dad I never had. We were so lucky that Mom is your only sister, because that meant you were always there, a father figure we needed. When our own dads weren’t there, you were. You were always there—for us, and especially for your kids.
You were the one constant man in my life, and I love you for that and so much more. You had the biggest heart, especially when it came to family. You would drop everything if any of us needed help. You and Uncle Richie worked on everyone’s cars—honestly, probably hundreds, if not thousands. And when you lost your twin, there was such a huge hole in the family… but you carried on for him. You stepped up even more for your family.
It hurts so much knowing you won’t just stop by anymore—to talk to Mom or even just sit. We’re going to do our best to keep her together. The two of you were truly inseparable—two peas in a pod. You weren’t just her brother, you were her best friend. You and Uncle Richie were her babies before we ever were, and she is absolutely heartbroken.
One last thing… I see what you did—you genius. To go on your birthday. It’s like you made sure we’d never have a day to only mourn you… because how could we ever hate or be consumed by sadness on the day you were born? I know you said you wanted to make it to your birthday for Uncle Richie—but I see you.
Rest in peace to one of the best men we were ever blessed to have in our lives. ❤️

Unc, you were awesome, someone I really looked up to. You helped me out more times than I can count. Taught me to fix and build computers, something that I was able to teach my son how to do, thank you. You will be missed but not forgotten, love you Uncle Edward.
Dad. I love you and will miss you for the rest of my life. - Ang
