My boys certainly loved and admired their Uncle Bill!He showed them the love of fishing. Took them camping for weeks at a time down on the Sacramento River Delta during summers along with our dog, while I worked and would supply them with food and water in between days off. Mosquito's so thick that never seemed to bother Bill, till one day I realized it was the smoke of his pipe that kept them away. I told Jay to put his milk carton stool right behind Uncle Bill back to back, that way when he blew smoke out of his pipe, it would go around him and the mosquito's would stay away. Next time I brought food Bill told me that Jay won't leave his side, thought something may be wrong. I just said no I just think he loves ya Bill!(which was true too!) As a single Dad, raising 3 teen boys he had to work out of town during the week. I would go check on the boys and saw there were no dishes in the cupboard no silverware, no glasses. When Bill came home on weekends I asked him if he wanted my extras, he said no he threw all his extras away because he would come home to a sink full of dishes, this way each boy had their own set of utensils and dishes and if they wanted to eat they would have to wash their own each time.He certainly was unique, and will not be forgotten!
