Weldon Farris Williams' Obituary
Weldon “Willie” Williams was born and raised in Harrison, Arkansas. Weldon was the oldest of nine children.
He came to California with his Dad around 1940. He has been a resident of California for the past 65 years. Weldon was preceded in death by his father Ray, mother Floy, brothers Wilburn, Wesley, Glen and sisters Bea and Shirley and son David.
He is survived by brothers, Darryl of Weed, CA, Gaylon of Oregon and Larry of Sacramento,CA. He also leaves to cherish his memory daughters Deanna of Rancho Cordova, Anita of Elk Grove and son Jerry of Sacramento,eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his lady friend Joy Miller; they lived together for 35 years. Weldon and Joy loved to square dance and belonged to a dance club for many years. Weldon loved to travel and often took road trips in the summer to Arkansas. He loved life and loved to stay busy.
Weldon was a volunteer fireman for the Elverta Fire Dept. He retired from the Teamsters Union after 35 years being a truck driver. After retirement he decided to go to work for Elverta School District driving a School Bus. He even drove limousines for a while, saving up his tips for a fishing trip with his son David and a couple of friends.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
