Wayne Allen Walls' Obituary
Wayne Walls on July 2, 2012 our whole family lost a wonderful brother, son and friend. Wayne was born in San Diego, California in 1944, and the family moved to Sacramento in 1955. He went to Norte Del Rio High School and graduated in 1962. One of his interests was music and he played the baritone in the school band. He also played in the Salvation Army band for many years. In 1963 he joined the Air Force and after basic training, he spent a good part of 4 years in Tule, Greenland. After getting out of the Air Force he worked at various jobs and eventually spent several years at Signal Depot working for the Army. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia and worked there for about 10 years. He moved back to Sacramento in the 80’s. In 1991 he spent a year during the gulf war working as a civilian in Operation Desert Shield. For the rest of his years he worked for a catering service at the Red Lion Inn in Sacramento. He really enjoyed working there. Everywhere Wayne went he was always a friendly , helpful person and was well liked by everyone he associated with. He was a great help to our mom after dad died in 2007. He was taken from us suddenly and he left a space that can never be filled. If someone needed help, Wayne was always there to lend a hand and he was always cheerful. We all loved Wayne and we’ll all miss him more than words can say.
