Walter Herbert Pettengell's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walter H. Pettengell on April 14, 2024 in San Francisco . Walter H. Pettengell was born on February 21, 1948 in Sonoma.
Walt grew up in Woodland, California where he lived until his deployment with the US Army. He had an honorable discharge as Private First Class Mechanic and an M-14 marksman in the US Army. After returning home Walt started his next chapter in Woodland and continued his next chapter at Mobile Inc., and rekindle his relationship and married the love of his life EvelynM. Fox.
Walt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and a cherished friend to many and was a man of many facets. His capacity for love was boundless, a trait he carried as a badge of honor. At the age of 76, he has left us a legacy that will forever echo in the corridors of our memories and in the laughter-filled spaces he so often created. He was a testament to the fact that one's greatest accomplishments often lie in the hearts and lives they touch.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert W. Pettengell and by his, mother Elinor Carr
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Pettengell and the following family members:

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 for the public viewing at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes in Sacramento, CA followed by his Celebration of Life at the home of Evelyn Pettengell in
Rio Linda, CA.
