NUNN, ViolaA beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Born February 24, 1921, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Passed away March 10, 2006 at age 85 after several years of illness. Surrounded by her loving family she left us to be with her Heavenly Father. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 68 years, James P. and her only daughter Grace Mozell Asher, along with her 4 grandchildren, Pamela Watkins, David Asher, Bill Asher and Kelly Allen, all of Sacramento, also 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is survived by 4 sisters, Clara Puckett of Sacramento, Ethel Tate of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Hazel Hickman and Irene Hairrell, both of Idabelle, Oklahoma. She is survived by a brother, Doug Mulkey of Idabelle. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, and one great grandson, Larry Keith Watkins. A long time resident of Rio Linda, she worked several years at Campbell Soup before retiring to spend time in her garden. She had an avid green thumb and could grow “pretty flowers” from a seemly “piece of wood”. She loved to see things grow and was forever planting something anyplace there was water. She felt the same for her family. Her words of wisdom, strength, encouragement, praise and love will be remembered forever by her family. Family invites friends to attend a visitation Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 4:00-8:00pm and a funeral service Friday, March 17, 2006 at 2:00pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento.
