Victor Loyd Leach's Obituary
On Friday, June 10th, 2022, heaven gained its newest angel, Victor Loyd Leach, who passed away at the age of 84. Victor was born on August 30th 1937 in Blanchard, Ok to Floyd Island Leach and Effie Annie Lamasters. After attending Marysville High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1955 and married Oma Lois Ard from Marlow, OK on February 17th 1956. A year later, he and Lois welcomed their first daughter, Vicky Renae, and then their second, Sheila Joy in 1961. The family then settled in Sacramento, CA where he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 20years as an electrician. Victor was also a professional archer and worked at Frontier Archery for 10years teaching students how to shoot a bow. He won the United States National Championships in 1966 & 1971 along with many other state & local championships throughout the years. In 1990 , 2 1/2 years after Lois passed, Victor married Patricia Fay Griener and settled in Sparks, NV where he would remain for the rest of his life. They were just shy of their 32nd wedding anniversary, which they would have celebrated on September 2nd, 2022. In his retirement he enjoyed playing golf, painting & drawing, working in the yard, and spending time with his family. Victor was preceded in death by his first wife Lois, parents Floyd & Effie, sister Lorene, brothers Bassel, Edward, Dearl, Lavern & Richard, granddaughter Joy & grandson Harley. He is survived by his second wife Patti, daughters Vicky, Sheila (Danny) & Shirlene, sisters-in-law Patricia, Lorene & Ruby, grandchildren Shelly, Michelle (Curtis), Victoria, Theresa & Nathan, Great-grandchildren Jared, Brodey, Kaleb, Lyla, Victor (Josephine), John, Celeyne & Bella, and great-great-grandchildren Mateo & Malieah as well as many nieces & nephews.
