Mommy,

I wish I had spent my earlier years with you in the kitchen learning how to cook. But I was too greedy, all I wanted to do was eat everything you cooked. Now at the age of 64 I find myself attempting to cook and wishing I could call you for recipes and advice. I am grateful for the time we spent and you showed me at your age of 93 how to make chicken and dumplings from scratch. We joked and laughed but you said they were good. I realized then I wished I had more time to spend learning from you in that kitchen. I'm the only one that can't cook. Just missing you 😔 and loving you more.

To my beloved Aunt Verlee: Wow! Did we make the most of each opportunity we had to fellowship here on earth, or what! We loved and cherish one another! We laughed and laughed, and laughed some more. But, those joyous occasions we had together will only “pale” in comparison to when we “ALL” reunite again in Heaven with our Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
