Garcia, Thomas “Papa Tom”
Loving husband of Beverly for 53 years. Proud Dad of Terri (Eddie Sr.) Saenz, Thomas Jr. (JoAnn) Garcia and Rodney (Patricia) Garcia, And the proudest and best Grampa to 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Victor, Richard and Joe Garcia, sisters Carmen Rivers and Helen Fagenbush and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Milton Garcia, mother Catalina Chavira and sister Carol Marr. Tom proudly served in the US Navy and worked for 30 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the State of California. He was an awesome bowler, enjoyed Casinos, cheering on the Sacramento Kings, Oakland A’s and Denver Broncos. More than anything he enjoyed his home where we had many family gatherings. He loved to barbeque and share homemade salsa with produce from his garden. He loved entertaining family and friends.
Friends are welcome for visitation, Monday, August 26, 2013, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 10:00 am, both held at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95838
