Thomas Andrew Bean's Obituary
Thomas “Butch” Andrew Bean entered into rest on October 26, 2021, in Roseville, California at the age of 81 after a twelve-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ellie Mae Bean, children Keith (Terri) Bean, Brian Bean, Janet (Montel) Bragg, Robyn (Michael) Moltzen, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Orvin and Faye Bean, and brothers James “Jim” and Noel Bean.
Born in Clarksville, Arkansas, on May 29, 1940, he drove to California when he was just 15 years old, which is where his love for cross-country road trips must have started. Tom was always up for an adventure. He loved nature and anything outdoors, including camping, hunting, and fishing. When relaxing at home you would find him watching his beloved NASCAR or one of his favorite Westerns. He was a carpenter by trade until his retirement and he loved telling stories to all who would listen.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who would do anything for his family. Even though his absence will always be felt, his memory will live forever and he will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on November 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95838. Interment will follow at Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
Donations can be made in Tom’s name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) the world's largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
