I was very saddened to hear of Steven's passing. He has been instrumental in my recovery and spiritual development. He and I were neighbors for several years and he would leave me "presents" on my door step; Just little things, always bringing a smile to my face. I would attempt leaving him trinkes in return. That was harder seeing his door was ALWAYS open and he'd catch me (I'm laughing out loud right now). The last time I saw Steven he said, "Remember when we lived at the apartments?" I said, "Of course I do". He said, "Those were the good days, I wish someone would have told me then that those were the "good days", I would have paid closer attention." It sounds so simple yet it made a profound impact on me. I think of that conversation often! I will miss his smiles, and shares, his hugs and stories. He was a great story teller, an art form not everyone has. He was a true gift in my life and I am blessed to be able to call him "My Friend".
