Shirley Jean Venable's Obituary
Shirley Jean Venable, 73 years old of Sacramento, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at her home surrunded by her family.
She was born to the late Winfred and Trudie Venable on September 12, 1944 in Stockton, Ca. She was the youngest of 6 kids. Shirley passed away just one day after her 73rd birthday. Her birthday wish was to be released from the hospital to spend her last birthday at home with her family. She had an amazing day where she told us about some of her childhood memories, mistakes in life, and wanted to ensure everyone knew she loved them tremendously. She even got to have a quick FaceTime chat with Alan and Pam Otten. She was truly thankful that God gave her one more birthday to celebrate!
Shirley had 4 children Ervin Duke, Amie Sue, Anita Maria, and Bobbie Jean. Shirley is survived by her sister Marge Johnson and 3 of her children Ervin, Anita, Bobbie, her son in law Todd, along with
12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Winfred and Trudie, brothers Richard and Jay, sisters Alma and Sue, and her loving daughter Amie Sue, whom she will be laid to rest next to.
Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2PM at Sunset Lawn in Sacramento, Ca. Following the service, there will be small reception on site with light snacks where people can continue to share stories.
