Rosco Williams Sr's Obituary
Rosco Williams Sr. was born in Strong, Arkansas on June 15, 1934 to R.O. and Rosie Lee Williams. Growing up, he was known by his family members as Billyboy. He was known as "Sco" or "pops" to many family and friends and "papa" to the Davita staff.
Rosco was a Vietnam War Veteran and was dedicated to serving the United States Air Force for 28 years, retiring as M/Sgt where he received numerous medals, awards, and letters for his service.
Rosco liked to keep busy, he has a side hustle repairing TVs and radios while employed by the U.S. Postal Office, retiring after 12 years.
Rosco enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and bowling. He even bowled perfect 300 a few times. He was a fan of the SF Giants and recently became a Batman fan. He was a lifetime member of the Veteran of Foreign War Post 4547 in North Highlands.
Rosco leaves to mourn: his son Rosco, II, two daughters Renee Williams and Theresa Williams; his brother Vaughn (Sonny) Williams; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and many people who called him “pops”.
Rosco was predeceased by his first wife Marlene Williams (mother of all his children), 2nd wife Doris Williams, 3rd wife Brigitte Williams, his youngest daughter Rose Marie Williams, his brother Theodore Williams, and his sisters Cleopatra Williams, and Clarice (Williams) Lewis.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for the prayers, thoughtfulness, and love expressed to us and to God be the Glory for His mercy and grace during our time of bereavement.
