Ronilo R. Rapatalo, fondly known as “Roni”, was born on September 25, 1956 in Pangasinan, Philippines to Ildefonso de Francia Rapatalo and Fidelina Ragudos Rapatalo. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Alaminos High School in 1973. After graduation, he took a secretarial course and ended up working for Ambrosio Padilla Law Office in Santa Cruz, Manila. In early 1978, he took the opportunity to work for China Bank in Manila as a stenographer. In June of 1978, he married Senin G. Rapatalo of La Union, Philippines and immigrated to the U.S. in June 1980.
Shortly after immigrating, he got a job as an electronic assembler at General Technology in Sunnyvale, CA. Several months later, his wife’s company relocated to Sacramento and it was decided that they would raise their family there. Roni got a job at NEC Electronics in Roseville. He stayed with the company for 20 plus years until the company decided to lay off their employees. In May of 2007, Roni changed careers and went into the healthcare field and worked at a residential facility in Auburn, CA. He worked there until his untimely passing on January 21, 2021 at the age of 64.
Roni is survived by his wife Senin and 3 daughters, Sharon of Los Angeles, Samantha of Sacramento and Stephanie of Reno. He had a son who preceded him in death in 2007. Roni is also survived by his 3 sisters (2 in the Philippines and 1 in Roseville) and a brother (Chicago). He will always be remembered as a man that showed his love and care by working hard to provide for his family. He will also be remembered as someone who loved to tell jokes, pull pranks and to make people laugh. He will definitely be missed.
The family will hold a small, private celebration of his life at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes in Sacramento
