AVARA, Robert LeoEntered into rest May 24, 2006 in Carmichael at the age of 82 years. Born August 23, 1923 in La Junta, Colorado. Loving father of Carrol J. Ohlsen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; brother of Donald Avara of Rio Linda, Keith Avara of Stockton, Norma Taylor of Modesto, and Evelyn Swartz of Rio Linda. Grandfather of E. Wayne Ohlsen and Kevin R. Ohlsen of Missouri, and Kerri D. Ohlsen of Washington. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Clovis; parents Henry and Hazel, and 7 brother and sisters. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday, June 1, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and funeral services on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 2:00 pm at SUNSET LAWN CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Prairie Retreat 43008 195th St. Bryant, SD 57221.
