Sacramento, California - Richard Valentine Peterson was born on February 14, 1931 in Webster, South Dakota. He passed away on January 5, 2024 in Sacramento, California.
Richard is preceded in Death by his wife, Carleton Peterson, after 71 years of marriage. He was a loving Father of Two, and Grandfather who loved Spending time with family, at church, Square Dancing, Loved Public Speaking and traveling the world.
Richard retired from Cal Trans, Department of Transportation 30 years ago, in the 1990's.
Richard leaves behind daughters Noreen Peterson and Carol Peterson (Fran Coughlin), Grandson Christopher Peterson (Jennifer Ladouceur, step daughter Sophia Ladouceur).
Richard's Memorial is Saturday January 20th at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1701 L Street, Sacramento, CA at 11 am with reception to follow.
