Richard Xavier Hernandez's Obituary
Obituary/EulogyHERNANDEZ, RICHARD XAVIER abruptly and unexpectedly passed, near mid-night while he slept, on February 7th, 2003 at the tender age of 39. Richard, born on August 3, 1963, was a struggling and spirited young soul. His compassion, generosity, and love for friends, music, and food, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him dearly. As we painstakingly adjust to his shocking departure, we will try to resist questioning his actions and the wisdom of the Universe and not debate these issues at these proceedings. Rather, each of us, in our own special way, will honor and value his life and bring meaning to his death. At best, we will cherish his memory in our hearts and lavish him with all our Love, forever. Richard is survived by his Dear Mother, Luz Hernandez; Dear Sister, Maria Buckmaster; Dear Adopted Sister, Karen Eggen; Dear Brothers, Robert, Henry, and Arthur Hernandez; Best Friend, Darryl Zuber; Dear Companion, Nancy; Dear Pet Cat, Spartacus; and many loving friends. We lovingly invite you to attend the visitation on Feb 19th, Wednesday, 4:00 æ 8:00 PM, at the Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes and Graveside Service on Feb 20th, Thursday, 12:00 æ 1:00 PM, at the Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes. A reception will follow at 3:00 PM at The Church of the Latter Day Saints, 2905 11th Avenue (cross street, Franklin Blvd; behind the Yum Yum Donut Shop), Sacramento CA 95817.
