Richard M. Calkins' Obituary
Richard Martin Calkins, 64, of Citrus Heights, CA, passed away on March
3rd, 2026, in Citrus Heights, San Juan Mercy Hospital.
Richard was born on January 15th, 1962, in Redwood City, CA to Kenneth Martin and Julie Sherril. He graduated from El Dorado High School in Placerville, CA, and worked as a painter for the last 30 years.
He was most known for being an active member in his church, loving being with his family, making the holidays special for his grandkids and being the train conductor at events for children. His hobbies included fishing, water skiing, duck hunting, playing paint guns, and building forts.
Richard is survived by his daughter Michelle Calkins, his sister Julie Kelley and his grandkids, Tarah, Payton, Krista, Chloe and Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Julie and his granddaughter Tori.
A funeral service will be held on March 30th at 11:00am at Sunset Lawn Cemetery with the viewing starting at 9:00am.
A Celebration of Life will be held after the ceremony at 5741 W 2nd St, Rio Linda, CA 95673.
