Del Rosario, Reynaldo Villanueva's Obituary
Reynaldo Villanueva Del Rosario, a resident of Roseville, California, was born on June 22, 1936, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. He was the youngest of four children born to Pacita and Prudencio Del Rosario. Before immigrating to the United States in March of 1969, he worked as a police officer for 8 years in Pasig City. In the US, his first job was working as a chef in an Italian Seafood restaurant in San Francisco, CA. After a few years in the States, he petitioned his late wife, Macaria Del Rosario, and their children. Later in life, he left the kitchen and worked as a Field Investigator for a law firm. He worked there until he retired. In 2008, he and his late wife celebrated a very special milestone, their 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was a very special and memorable day for everyone. Reynaldo was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He lived a very simple life. He did not travel much, but he enjoyed being around the family, especially his grandchildren. He also spent hours watching the news and his favorite game shows, like the Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and The Price is Right. He kept up with the news in the Philippines by watching TV Patrol as well. Reynaldo was called to eternal rest on November 14, 2024. He was 88 years old. He is survived by his six children (Lynne, JoJo, Ditas, Heidi, Jun, and Reny Boy), blessed with 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his older sister Naty Soyangco, and by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Macaria, his parents, Pacita and Prudencio, and brothers Eddie and Diding. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Thank you Daddy, for all of the funny, loving, and fond memories. You will forever be in our hearts. We love you!
