Renee Kim Triebess' Obituary
Renee Kim Triebess (Richards), 60, peacefully passed away in her home on Saturday, May 14, 2016 after an eight year battle with Alzheimer’s. Renee was born on August 21, 1955 in Scranton, PA to William Richards and Darlene Barnes (Koch).
Renee was survived by her mother, Darlene Barnes and sister, Denise Barnes.
Renee was survived by her husband of forty years, Douglass Triebess and their three children:
Damon Triebess (Stacey), Nicole Roeseler, and Ryan Triebess (Tiffany), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Renee loved all these people very much, but nothing could match the love she had for her grandchildren: Jordan Roeseler (23), Tannyr Roeseler (20), Braeden Triebess (17), Michael Allen (17), Nathan Triebess (13) and her little “Miss”, Taylor Triebess (10). Given the nickname “MAMO”, Renee could often be seen at a soccer or baseball field in her blue chair with a cover over it, and a bag of Gatorades. She would never miss a grandchild’s event. Renee would never turn down a sleepover, and would spend as much time as she could with them. During their time together she would teach them sign language, and preach to them the importance of “Safety First”.
In Renee’s early years, she and Doug would often hop in the car and drive anywhere; they even took a trip around the United States, visiting most of the states with two small children and one on the way. When they settles in Elverta, Renee was an active member of the local little league serving in many positions, including coach. She was baptized as a member of the Latter day Saints church and served as the Relief Society president for years. Renee served as team mom, Cub Scout den leader, and Girl Scout troop leader. Renee was willing to help anybody that she could, whether it was giving coffee to the homeless lady that walked Elverta Road. or inviting friends who needed a place to stay into her home. Renee worked at American River College where she transcribed the teacher’s lecture for the hearing impaired students. Renee enjoyed camping with her family , as long as there was shade, occasional spins around the lake on the Jet Ski, crafts, genealogy, Christmas season, and sales at Wal-Mart. Renee had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh that often led to tears. She was a wife to one, mother to three, Mamo to six, but deeply missed by many more.
Service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at: Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95838, service starts at 1pm, with viewing available starting at 12pm.
