Born on May 23, 1943, Raymond lived a full and hardworking life, marked by dedication to his family, his craft, and the many passions that brought him joy. For over 35 years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator — a career that reflected his strong work ethic, reliability, and deep pride in a job well done.
Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lee Crawford; his mother, Mary Lucille Woods; his stepmother, Thelma Adaleane Crawford; his daughter, Penny Jo Crawford; his sister, Patsy Marie Fields; and his half-brother, Craig Witherspoon.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Catherine Crawford, and their six children: Victor, Joseph, Steve, Lee, Treasa, and Brenda. Raymond was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense pride and joy to his life. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, JoAnn Sprankle and Penny McKinney.
Raymond had a passion for life beyond his work. He loved restoring classic cars — a hobby that combined his mechanical skill with his appreciation for timeless beauty. He also found peace and joy in the outdoors, especially while fishing, camping, and hunting.
Those who knew Raymond will remember him for his quiet strength, his steadfast love for his family, and his deep appreciation for the simple things in life. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and enduring love.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
