Phyllis Thomas' Obituary
Phyllis J. Thomas, of Sacramento passed away at age 87 in Roseville, CA on July 1, 2015. Phyllis worked and retired from the State of CA. After retirement she spent her time volunteering at Senior Gleaners. She loved to knit and quilt and working at Senior Gleaners she was able to volunteer doing some of these things she loved. Phyllis also loved to travel. She traveled the world aboard many cruises with her dancing partner Jim. Phyllis loved to dance- ballroom, line dancing or just about any type of dancing. When she heard a song she loved she would dance no matter where she was. Phyllis also enjoyed camping with her family. Mountains or the beach she would take her motor home and go wherever the road would take her. She took countless trips with her grandchildren in tow. On these trips she would always bring back home at least one rock to add to her collection. Phyllis is survived by her brother, 3 daughters and their families including many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Kenmare House and Elisabeth, her primary caregiver this past year for your loving care and support. Phyllis loved a good happy hour with family and friends and in her true spirit requested no service, but her life to be celebrated instead.
