Pauline Rodriguez Acosta's Obituary
Pauline Rodriguez Acosta
Pauline, born August 28, 1962, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2026, surrounded by her children. After a long fight with cancer, she went home to be with the Lord, the same way she lived, with strength, grace, and her own kind of quiet courage.
She didn’t do life halfway. She was bold, funny, a little stubborn in the best way, and full of life. She could laugh in the middle of hard things and somehow make everyone else laugh too. She noticed the small things, the things most people miss, and she made them feel important. In her presence you felt her fire for life, in her jokes, her honesty, and her love. She had a way of making you feel seen without needing to say much.
Her faith wasn’t something she talked about only on Sundays, it was woven into who she was. She trusted God through everything, even when it was hard. Even at the end. Her strength came from her faith, and so did her peace. The joy she carried and the faith she held onto were never separate. It was all just her.
She is survived by her children Jessica (Jaime), Daniel, and Sabrina; her grandchildren Julian, Gabriel, Jaime Jr., Trinidad, Joseph, Camilo, Mariah, Jezelle, Daisy, and Evelyn; her sisters Estrella, Francis, Raquel, and Vida, many nieces and nephews, and her devoted dog Braxton.
What she leaves behind isn’t just memories, it’s the way she taught us to live. To laugh when things are heavy. To love people fully. To keep going. To trust God in all of it.
A celebration of life will be held on April 30, 2026, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Reception to follow at her home
. If you want to honor Pauline, do something kind, something joyful, something a little spontaneous, because that’s who she was and what she’d want you to do.
The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.” — Psalm 118:14
