Londow, Paula's Obituary
Paula Diane Londow, beloved sister-friend, cousin, confidante, and mentor, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2024, at the age of 69. Paula leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Born in Los Angeles, California, to Linda Elmore and Henry Paul Londow, Paula was a proud graduate and reunion coordinator of Los Angeles High School, Class of 1973. She was preceded in death by her parents, but her memory lives on through the many lives she touched.
Paula was a true renaissance woman—an eternal student who never stopped redefining herself, learning, growing, and sharing her talents with others. She was a gifted baker, a fashionista on a budget, a mentor, a cheerleader, and, most importantly, a model of God's grace. Paula’s generosity knew no bounds; she opened her heart to many, becoming family to those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She was a devoted colleague, a niece, a cousin, a friend, an auntie, and an unwavering support to all who needed her. Her love was deep, unselfish, and unconditional. Paula was always there when you needed her, a constant presence who made time for you no matter the circumstances. She shared her faith, her wisdom, and often her favorite shade of lipstick—adding a touch of her signature style to every moment.
Recently, Paula fought through a difficult health crisis, always maintaining her strength and grace and hope for a brighter future for herself and everyone around her. Unfortunately, her body could no longer withstand the fight, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
Paula is survived by several cousins, including Kathy Londow and Coretta Williams of Texas, her "children" Tyler Toler and Melodi Dice, her "grandchild" Theodore Dice, and her "little" brother Anthony Stingley, along with her "little" sister Cletis McConnell. She leaves behind a circle of close friends whom she considered family, including Karen Warren, Rochelle Elder, and Sherron Conway, as well as a host of other relatives—both by blood and by love.
Paula was, and will always be, remembered as a woman who never hesitated to offer a listening ear, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement. Her love and light will continue to guide and inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A memorial service to celebrate Paula’s life will be held on November 19th at 11 AM at Berkeley Zion Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing in the love she brought to all who knew her.
Paula will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
