Patricia Jeanne Burns (1953–2025) was compassionate, fierce, and free-spirited. Born and raised in Sacramento, California, she grew up alongside her siblings William, Nancy, Pamela, Annette, and Eddie, under the care of their parents, Leona and Wesley. Patricia’s childhood and early life were filled with incredible adventures and unforgettable stories—from hitchhiking to concerts to protesting the Vietnam War. Her life was nothing short of extraordinary.
As an adult, she dedicated herself to serving students with special needs. She began her career working in group homes and later became a classroom aide in the San Juan Unified School District, where she worked for over 30 years.
