Nancy Williams' Obituary
Nancy Sanders Williams was born January 28, 1924 in Arkansas Post, Arkansas to Willie Simpson and Laura Brisco Sanders. She was the sixth oldest of Twelve sibling. She moved to Sacramento, California in 1941 for a better way of life outside of cotton farming.
There is so much we can say about Nancy Williams but that would require we write a novel or a motion picture.
Nancy Worked at McClellan Air Force Base for 25 plus years. She retired in 1976.
She was one of the Founding members of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA.
She loved to serve and was a long standing member on the Usher Board.
Aunt Nancy, as some of us called her, loved to fish, bowl, garden, travel, read, cook and first and foremost, eat. She was truly a connoisseur of food.
To sum her up she was a mother to her grand niece, Telecia Currington, a grandmother to Ebony Brown, an Aunt to many, a friend to everyone, a business woman and most importantly a child of God. She leaves to cherish her memory brother, Willie Lee Sanders(Margaret), Melvin Sanders, and sisters Geneva Griffin and Velma Jacques. Stepchildren, Sabrina Princess Gundry (Steve),
Judy Harrison, Andra Yarborough, Myrna Mason (Curtis). and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends
