Morley Charles McFarlin's Obituary
Passed away July 15, 2004 at the age of 67. A native of Superior Wisconsin, Packy left at 17 to serve in the U.S. Navy. After four years of service, Packy settled in the Sacramento area in 1965, working as a pressman for the Sacramento Bee for 36 years. He is survived by his son Patrick McFarlin, his daughter Kimberly McFarlin Niemeyer, both of Sacramento, his sister Mickey Kornstad of Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin, his brother Michael of New Richmond, Wisconsin, and many friends, including Ruth Jensen. Packy will be fondly remembered for his quick Irish wit and humor. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, July 21st, at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd at 3p.m. A wake celebrating Packy’s life will be held after the service at Brownies Lounge, 5858 S. Land Park Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131. Published in the Sacramento Bee from 7/18/2004 – 7/20/2004
