Mary Willie Scott's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Willie Scott was born in Scooba, Mississippi on September 23, 1942 to the union of Lonnie Jones Sr. and Mary Alice Jones. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Where she sang in the youth choir. She graduated from Mattie T. Blount High School in 1960 and thereafter, attended Bishop State college. She was employed for 25 years at the Mitchell Company.Mary Willie loved sewing. She often times made her own clothing. She enjoyed making cassette tapes of old school music for family and friends. Her favorite pass time was watching soap operas and American Idol.She was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie Jones Sr. and Mary Alice Jones; brother Lonnie Jones Jr.; sisters Brinda Jones and Deborah Dunklin.She leaves to cherish her memories sons: James Scott Jr. of Prichard AL, Gregory Scott of Tracy, CA, Donald McMillian Jr. and Calvin Campbell of Prichard, AL; two brothers: Robert Jones and Donald Jones of Sacramento, CA; two sisters: Ella B. Stallworth and Eunice Holland of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren: Melvin Wooten, Gregory Byrd Jr. and Courtney Campbell; great grandchildren: Christopher Hughes and Londyn McMillian; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and a host of relatives and friends, godson: Jamal Randolph and devoted friend Sonja Everett. Services are scheduled for Monday, September 17, 2012 at 1:00PM at Sunset lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95838.
