Mark Eugene Washington's Obituary
Mr. Mark Eugene Washington, was born May 19, 1967, at Mather Air Force Base Hospital in Sacramento, CA. Although he was raised by his grandparents, Carmen and Wesley Washington, he was the son of Renee (Na Na) and Ronnie Dennis.
Mark’s full life was filled with God, family, friends, and love. Mark was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA in 1998 surrounded by family and friends.
Mark attended Highlands High School, worked tirelessly 35 years in the carpentry, painting and construction industries where he built, painted, and repaired homes, and the property management field as head maintenance property manager. Also, he worked at Lumberjack and Teichert companies. He was mechanically inclined and could fix anything. Also, he worked as an Arborist who climbed and cut the tallest trees. He worked as a restaurant cook throughout Sacramento; however, he cooked with love for his family. His specialties were guacamole dip, grits, chili, gumbo with his Na Na, and above all else his famous shrimp scampi. For recreation, he was a talented outdoorsman who enjoyed cycling, camping, and most of all fishing on his boat and long rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Mark was charming and loved women. He was a gentle soul that fondly protected the women in his life.
Suddenly on August 20, 2021, he entered into rest to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ due to Covid -19 pneumonia in Sacramento, CA.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carmen and Wesley Washington; Doris and Wilmer Dennis; Uncle James Dean Bennett, Ennis, Hal and cousin De’Zay Richardson.`
