Marie Nelvin Johnson was born in Longview Texas on June 2, 1941 to Oscar Powe and Mary Johnson from Texas. Marie passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021 in Sacramento California. Marie is survived by her 3 loving children: Elvin Dwain John, Tangee Renee Laird and Michelle Lott. A memorial service will be held on October 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes with a committal service to follow. The memorial service will be officiated by Larry Johnson.
Celebrating the life and homegoing of Marie Nelvin Johnson. The daughter of Oscar and Mary Powe was born June 2, 1941 in Longview Texas. She departed this life October 1, 2021. At the age of 80 in Sacramento California. A resident of San Rafael for 39 years. Marie relocated to Sacramento in 2005 to join her family She was preceded in death by her parents. In 1960 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Elvin (Dwain) Johnson SR. and that union was blessed with one son and two daughter. Her survivors include her 3 children-Elvin Dwain Johnson JR., Tangee Renee Johnson-Laird, Terri Michell Johnson-Lott, 8 grandchildren- Bianca Rennick, Sharna Laughlin, Kendall Laird-Mondragon, Paige Laird-Braitman, Prochia and Tramaine Lott, Jordan and Brooke Johnson. 8 great grandchildren. Sibling Annie Muriel Gee. and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
