Maria Perry's Obituary
In loving Memory of Maria Perry
Maria Perry was born on December 26, 1981 in Chicago Illinois to the proud parents of Rose Perry and Joe Stanford.
Maria graduated from William Daylor High School July 26, 1999. After graduating high school, she worked various jobs until she accepted full time employment at Safeway where she worked for several years as a cashier. She loved telling story about the tall & handsome Kings players that would come to her register.
Maria was beautiful, smart, warm and caring. In her neighborhood, she was known as the neighborhood mom. A kid could always come to her house for a meal and just hang out with her and the kids. She had a big heart and her children had the biggest part of it. She loved them dearly. She also loved shopping and she’d find another wig, purse or pair of shoes to bring home and add to her growing collection. She had a wide taste in music and she loved decorating her house especially during the holidays. She would go all out for Halloween and Christmas. With her free spirit, she was known to try to break all the rules, or at least bend them as much as possible, to fit her perception of life and she didn’t hold back telling you so.
In 2012 Maria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Fredonia Baptist Church in Rio Linda California. In December 2013, she moved to Atlanta Georgia where she joined Browns Chapell Baptist Church in Bishop, GA.
Maria joins her family who preceded her in death, her first grandchild; Jayden Broussard Miles, grandfather, Fred Perry , an uncle Derek Perry, and her aunts Debra Perry , Margaret Butler and Sandra Mullin.
She leaves to cherish in memory, her mother Rose Perry of Sacramento, Grandmother, Paralee Perry, of Chicago Illinois.
