Mae Winifred Walls' Obituary
On Monday, September 21, 2020, Mae Winifred Walls entered into rest at the age of 98. She was born in San Pedro, California, January 2, 1922. She was a resident of the Sacramento area for 66 years.
Mae married Dean Walls in July 1940 and they were married for 67 years before Dean’s passing in 2007. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Walls.
Mae is survived by her two children, Larry Walls (Ellen deceased) and Phyllis Edwards, (Jim), granddaughter Jana Avila (Miguel) and great grandson, Hudson Avila. Mae is also survived by her sisters, Doris Lopez and Frances Sparling, and her nieces and nephews.
Mae’s occupation was a homemaker and she cherished every minute of loving and caring for her family. She was a devoted Sunday school teacher for over 40 years, teaching children about the bible, and to love the Lord. She was a member of North Church of the Nazarene.
Over the past few years, she has loved reminiscing about her childhood and the many memories she has had over her lifetime.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff of the Oak Ridge Home Care facility for the wonderful care she received for 2 years. A private service is planned at this time.
