Lydia Soto Lorea's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Lydia Soto Lorea
Lydia Soto Lorea, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born and raised in Sacramento, Lydia was one of many siblings and shared a special lifelong bond with her twin. Her roots ran deep in the community she called home, and her warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Lydia married young and built a life centered around love and devotion. She was the proud mother of four children, each of whom she cherished deeply. Her greatest joy, however, came from being a grandmother to nine adoring grandchildren. Lydia lived for her grandchildren—her face lit up at the sound of their laughter, and her heart was fullest when they were near.
She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: long walks that cleared her mind, spirited games of bingo that brought her joy, and the quiet rhythm of crochet that allowed her to create beauty with her hands. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting hum of family.
Lydia’s legacy is one of unconditional love, resilience, and generosity. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering devotion to family, and the countless moments of joy she gave to those around her.
She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Her love lives on in every stitch of a blanket, every shared story, and every hug passed down through generations.
Rest in peace, Lydia. You were the heart of your family, and your love will never fade.
