Lou, 86 passed away on December 21, 2013 at 1:20 am at his home in Sacramento. He was born August 9, 1927 in Winters, CA to Joseph and Delphine Lawrence of Woodland, CA. He served in the US Navy and then met and married his wife of 43 years, Thelma “Bea” they resided in Sacramento for the remainder of their lives.
He is survived by one sister Adeline Davis of Carmichael CA, a son Michael Lawrence of Sacramento, two daughters Sherry and Terri of Warsaw, Mo. He also leaves behind a whole slew of grandkids, great and great great, many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Bea, two brothers, Joe and William. Lou worked as an ammonia engineer for over 50 years. He was the owner of L & B refrigeration. Lou was a volunteer fire fighter. He worked well into his 70th year. He was a member of the Independent Order of Forresters, President of Sierra Federal Employee Credit Union, and a member of the Cabrillo Club for many years .Grandpa Lou –Lou was an extraordinary man. He sacrificed his entire life for his family and their families .In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Mercy Hospice.
Friends are welcome for visitation Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 12:00 noon and are invited to attend the Funeral Service immediately following at 1:00 pm both held at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd, Sacramento, California. Interment Sunset Lawn Memorial Park.
