Lora Nail's Obituary
NAIL, LORA (OWENS) 5th of nine children born to Jasper Lonzo Owens and Ella Irene (Dewitt) Owens. Received her wings on August 30, 2002 in Sacramento, Ca., at the age of 75, after a prolonged bout with cancer. Born in Havana, Ark. February 11, 1927. A resident of Sacramento for 59 years. Surviving children Ella Barber, Dorothy Mahan (John), Billie Joe Nail (Jean), and Katherine Fischer. Surviving siblings Leona Michael, Reba Johnson, Christopher (Johnny), Edward and Pelham Owens. She is also survived by nine grandchildren Carrie Good (Ron), Lana Ambruster, Bruno Berry (Sandy), Kevin Barber, Rashelle, John and Aaron Mahan, Robert and Matthew Nail, and eight great grandchildren Alex and Mason Good, Brittany and Stephen Ambruster, Kyle, Cole and Joseph Mahan, and Sean Berry. She is preceded in death by sisters Esther Emberson, Mae Coppak, and Silvia Owens. A member of the Capital City Baptist Church. Retired from Blue Diamond Almond Growers. Lora loved quilting, gardening, cooking and sharing with her family. Friends are invited to a graveside service Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at 12:00 noon at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento
