Linda Y. Jones 1940 - 2022
Linda Yvonne Jones, 81 of Rio Linda, California, passed away of natural causes on Monday, June 6, 2022. Linda was born in Belle Fourche, South Dakota to Leon Chapman Cram and Lucille Davis Cram. As a child, she lived in many places throughout the western coastal states. Linda graduated from Washington High School in Portland, Oregon in 1958. She became pen pals with a young man in the Navy, Fred William Jones. They were married on February 15th, 1958. Fred and Linda were married for 64 years. The life they built together included 5 Children, 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. Linda is survived by husband Fred, son Gary Jones and daughters Charlotte Blount and Donna Alvarez. She was preceded in death by son Philip Jones, son Samuel Jones and Grandson Joseph Jones. Linda worked as a computer lab technician for the Rio Linda School District. Linda’s talent for oil painting will be long cherished by her family. Linda was an excellent cook and seamstress. Her devoted husband, Fred, followed her into the next life 35 days after her passing. A combined memorial service for Fred and Linda Jones will be held at the Sunset Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, August 12th at 10am.
