Lee Wilson Collier
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He fought a long, courageous battle with Congestive Heart Failure. A 70-year resident of Rio Linda, Lee was born in Hollister, Missouri to Clarence and Winnie Collier on September 15, 1930. He graduated from Grant Union High School and after serving 2 years in the United States Army attended Wayland Baptist College.
Lee is preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley of 47 years, his parents, sister Juanita, nephew Robert Christophel and his grandson Michael Sparling. He is survived by his children Debra Hancock(Ken), David Collier(Dawn), Rick Collier(Mary), and Leanne Sparling(Mike). Also, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, his sister Geneva Christophel, many nieces and nephews and his loving friend Helen D’Avis.
He was very involved in the Rio Linda Masonic Lodge, Ben Ali Shrine, and The Scottish Rite. Lee was the proud owner of Collier & Son’s Feed in Rio Linda.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Friends and Family are invited to a celebration of his life on Thursday October 29, 2015 at the Ben Ali Shrine Center, 3262 Marysville Blvd. Sac, Ca at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children-Sacramento or the Rio Linda Masonic Lodge.
