Burkholder, Laurie's Obituary
Laurie Burkholder
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Laurie Burkholder, a deeply compassionate soul whose kindness touched the lives of so many. Laurie was a devoted mother to her two children, Kurtis and Lauren, whom she loved dearly.
Laurie had a profound love for animals, especially cats, and found joy in their company. Her empathy knew no bounds—she felt deeply for others, always offering comfort and care to friends and colleagues alike. As a skilled surgical technician, Laurie dedicated her life to helping others, playing a vital role in saving countless lives over the years.
Laurie’s adventurous spirit led her to spend part of her childhood in Japan, a place that left a lasting impression on her heart. She deeply appreciated the culture and carried that love with her throughout her life. She found comfort in life’s simple joys—sipping tea, immersing herself in the works of her favorite author, Stephen King, and cherishing the companionship of her beloved cats, Abby, Sydney and Reece.
Laurie’s warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. While she may no longer be with us, the love and kindness she shared will forever live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. We find comfort in knowing that she is now frolicking at the Rainbow Bridge, reunited with the beloved animals she cherished and lost over time, surrounded by their love once more.
