Lauren Denise Gomez's Obituary
Lauren was born in Sacramento, CA in 1950 to her dearly departed mom and dad, Harriet and Lowell - their first daughter and probably the favorite. She excelled in all she did – school, friendships, motherhood, careers. She was the loving big sis to Susan, Coreen and Kevyn. Lauren was a devoted young mother to Davise and David and an extremely proud grandmother to Michael, Darius, Brooklynne, Anthony (Tear), David (Saquana), Duane, and Michael. She treated them as equals for the wonderful young adults they had become. She has 13 precious great grandchildren – Layla, Dylan, Aveyah, Anthony Jr, Armani, Izayah, David IV, Quan, Darius, Duane Jr, Adriana, Analaya, and Carter with another girl on the way. Her daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and son-in-law, Robert, and granddaughters-in law received the same love and attention she gave to the others. She lost her daughter, Davise, who she truly loved and missed, last summer. Lauren related with just about everyone she met and loved her renewed connections with her junior high and high school friends. She went to Smythe elementary school, Rio Tierra Junior High and graduated from Norte Del Rio High School. She worked at Pacific Bell telephone company, Tower of Records for almost 20 years and for the state at SCIF. She said Tower of Records was her dream job but sadly it went out of business. Lauren will always be remembered as a woman of strength, compassion and life, and a true friend. Just look at that beautiful young woman!
