Joyce left this life with her best friend and husband Roy Gould by her bedside on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:25 a.m.
Joyce was born on February 21, 1954 to Ralph and Geneva Back in Sacramento, California. She was the oldest of three children, sister Debbie Back and brother Michael Back. She was the first grandchild to Raymond and Amie Friend. Joyce attended Grant High School and Norte Del Rio High School, graduating in 1972.
Joyce had a love for baseball-Oakland A’s and basketball-Kings and Boston Celtics. She also had a love for old cars, trucks, and antiques. Her hobbies were to grow flowers and tomatoes and to bake and cook for family and friends. Of course, she could not do any of this without her best friend and #1 fan, her husband Roy, by her side.
Services to celebrate the life of Joyce Ann Gould will be held at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes,
4701 Marysville Boulevard, Sacramento CA 95838 on Monday, January 18, 2021. Viewing will start at
