Josie B. Washington was on born March 13, 1943 in Leona, Texas. A true woman of God, an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was the Frist Lady of Mt. She also was the former director for the National Youth Sports program (NYSP) at CSUS (California State University of Sacramento). She was a community activist and trailblazer, being the first Black woman elected to a public office (School Board) in Sacramento County in 1976 (an elected member and president of the Grant Joint Union High School District Governing Board) for 13 years.
First Lady Washington was full of life, laughter and love.
